MEET THE STEEL CITY LAWYER

John A. Biedrzycki

I’m John Biedrzycki. I didn’t grow up planning to be a lawyer. But two summers working in the chambers of a Pennsylvania judge showed me just how much one person—armed with the law and a solid work ethic—can do to help folks through hard situations.

That stuck with me. And it’s been the north star of my legal career ever since.

After earning my law degree from Duquesne in 2002, I cut my teeth at a firm handling everything from criminal defense to personal injury claims. It was real work with real people—and I liked that. In 2007, I opened my own practice with one goal: to be the kind of lawyer I’d want on my side—clear, honest, and all-in for my clients.

I work with individuals, families, and small businesses throughout Pittsburgh and Western PA. If you’ve been injured, charged, or caught in a legal mess—whether it’s a fender bender, a DUI, or a confusing real estate deal—I’ll help you sort it out.

My Practice Focuses On:

I’m licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of PA. I’m also a proud member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations—and I’ve been recognized as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyers Rising Star for four years running.

When I’m not in court or meeting with clients, there’s a decent chance I’m up in the air—I hold a private pilot certificate and love flying around Western PA whenever I can.

I also stay connected to the community through leadership and volunteer work.

I’ve served as:

  • Past President of the Allegheny Harvard Yale Princeton Club
  • Past President of the Upper St. Clair – Bethel Park Rotary

The Mission

Why I Do This Work

Law isn’t about drama or TV moments. It’s about people—people facing stress, uncertainty, and sometimes the worst days of their lives. I take pride in being someone they can turn to. Someone who listens, digs in, and helps them move forward with confidence.

If that’s what you’re looking for, I’d be glad to talk.
